Executive Producer of Viewpoints Radio & Radio Health Journal

Before becoming Executive Producer of both shows, Amirah attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (Go Illini!) and earned a degree in broadcast journalism with focuses in public relations, political science and sociology. After graduation, she worked in public relations and corporate communications in Chicago for a handful of years before delving back into journalism. She is the lead producer for Viewpoints Radio and spends much of her days brainstorming stories, interviewing experts and writing scripts for the half-hour public affairs show. Out of the many topics she covers for Viewpoints, she most enjoys writing about human rights, psychology, social issues, the environment and entrepreneurship/personal finance. In her free time, you can find her running along the lake in Chicago or checking out a new restaurant in one of the many boroughs across the city. Check out all the segments Amirah has produced here.
