Gun violence was the leading cause of death for children and teens in 2022, according to a recent report by the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions. In whole, more than 48,000 people died from guns that year. Despite increased awareness, gun violence persists in the U.S. as a leading a public health issue. This week – we speak with two people who have become part of the solution and are helping to curb gun-related deaths in their respective communities.
