In the first quarter of 2022, solar power made up 50% of all new electricity-generating capacity in the country. On top of this, residential solar installations also had its biggest quarter ever, with a 30% increase in demand year-over-year, according to the Solar Energy Industries Association. While current solar energy relies on the sun, scientists are now developing new technology that would allow for 24/7 energy absorption. We speak with an expert about this exciting development and what lies ahead.
