Last minute emails. Gift buying. Traveling. Sometimes the holiday to-do list can feel never-ending. It can be a stressful period – especially after another year spent living within a pandemic. We speak with our guest, psychiatrist Dr. Frank Anderson about the importance of setting boundaries and expectations during the upcoming holiday season.
It's not that some people have great families and some people don't. Everybody has difficulty. It's the people that have worked through the blockages and don't project fixing their past problems with the current holidays that have a better time of it. Share on XDr. Anderson also gives his advice on how to truly enjoy the holidays with you family and not fall into family patterns developed in during past experiences. During the interview, he says, “It’s not that some people have great families and some people don’t. Everybody has difficulty. It’s the people that have worked through the blockages and don’t project fixing their past problems with the current holidays that have a better time of it. It’s a level of acceptance. It’s a level of being with what is in a way that allows them to be more pleasant.”
